RIP dad. I know you loved me, even when life was horrible, and everything got in the way. I hope you are at peace now, with Gram and Gramp. Watch over my family, and please help me find peace myself.

Life lessons from a 13 yr old with Down syndrome:
Ciarra, waiting at the bus stop, is dancing like a robot. She dips her head nearly to her knees, bends her elbows at sharp angles, pivots, throws in a few Michael Jacksonish moves. I am watching out the window. "Ciarra, are you a robot?" "Yep!" Hear vehicles coming up the road "Ciarra, people are going to think you are pretty silly" (WHY do I care? shes alive, vibrant, happy, uninhibited..do i REALLY want her to be more like ME? NOOO!!) "Its ok, Mom, Im just dancing. I dont even know their names." Meaning: Dont worry about it. I got this. What do *I* care what strangers think. Atta girl CB.

a GREAT prize-a GREAT reason to try
My friend leah recently adopted a beautiful little boy named Axel, and she is off to go do it again! Much respect and love from Maine for this family. Please consider helping them fund this adoption, seeing how Axel has blossomed makes me very sure they are GREAT at this parenting stuff. Good luck Leah!
